Chinese herb Angelica is warm in nature, pungent, fragrant and slightly bitter. The root is conical, 10-20cm long and 2-2.5cm in diameter. The surface is gray-brown, with laterally protruding lenticels and a concave stem scar at the top. Angelica is very hard and powdery, with white cross section and the skin is densely covered with brown oil spots.
Angelica is mostly born on river banks, streams, and coastal jungle conglomerates. Angelica is distributed in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning and other places in China. It is cultivated in Sichuan, Hebei, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, Shanxi and other places in China.
