White Peony Root Description

White peony root is a plant of the Ranunculaceae Paeonia family, and its roots can be used as medicine. The lower part of white peony root is massive and thick, and it is distributed in the bushes or grasses of hillsides and valleys. White peony root is widely distributed in Bozhou Anhui, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia and other places in China.

White peony root is generally excavated in summer and autumn, which has been planted for 3 to 4 years, and the rhizomes and fibrous roots are removed, washed. The rough skin are scraped off. Then boiled in boiling water for a while to make the peony root soft, and dried in the sun.
