Solomon's seal root also called rhizoma polygonati is the rhizome of liliaceous plant Polygonatum, Polygonatum cyrtonema and Polygonatum kingianum, which grows in mountain forests, bushes or semi-shady places on hillsides. It is distributed in Northeast China, North China, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Gansu, Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, and Zhejiang in China.
