Polygonatum Odoratum, the name of Chinese herb, is the dried rhizome of Polygonatum odoratum (Mill.) Druce, a Liliaceae plant, which is produced in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Qinghai, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, Jiangxi, and Jiangsu in China. Polygonatum Odoratum is excavated in autumn. The fibrous roots are removed, washed, then dried in the sun until there is no hard cores or after steaming, repeatedly rubbed until translucent, and dried in the sun.
