The palmleaf raspberry is the fruit of the Rubus chingii Hu of the Rosaceae family. It grows at area in the mid-altitude and is common seen on hillsides, roadsides in the sun or in shady bushes. It is mainly distributed in Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Anhui, Yunnan, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Fujian, Guangxi, Guangdong, Shaanxi, and Gansu in China.
