Dodder seed is the dried and mature seeds of Cuscuta australis R.Br. or Cuscuta chinensis Lam. Which is maibly produced in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, Zhejiang, Fujian, Sichuan, and Yunnan in China. In autumn, when the fruits are ripe, the plants are harvested, and dried in the sun.
