Chinese date, also called Chinese jujube, is the ripe fruit of the jujube of rhamnaceous , which grows in the mountains, hills or plains under altitude of 1700 meters. It is widely cultivated all over China, and there are many varieties. It is produced in most areas of China, mainly in Xinjiang, Shanxi, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Sichuan, and Guizhou.
