Cubeb, piper cubeba, or tailed pepper is a plant in genus Piper. It is the dry ripe fruit of the Lauraceae plant, Litsea cubeba (Lour.) Pers. In autumn, the fruits are harvested when they are ripe, the impurities are removed, and then the fruits are sun-dried. It is mainly produced in Guangxi, Zhejiang, Sichuan and Fujian in China.
