Chuanxiong is distributed in Sichuan, Guizhou, and Yunnan in China, and is mainly cultivated in Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shaanxi, and Gansu in China.
