Motherwort is a herb of Labiatae Leonurus. Its fresh products are harvested from the seedling stage in spring to early summer before flowering and dry products are harvested in summer when the stems and leaves are lush, the flowers are not blooming or just beginning to bloom. They are sun-dried, or cut into sections and sun-dried. It is mainly distributed in Jiangsu, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan and Sichuan in China.
