Mint Description

Mint is the whole grass or leaves of the Lamiaceae plant Mint. It was originally produced in the Mediterranean region of Europe and West Asia. At present, the main production areas are the United States, Spain, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, and the Balkans etc.. The most parts of China, such as Yunnan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, etc., also produce it.

Mint Leaf Function & Application

Mint has both medical and edible functions. The main edible parts are stems and leaves, and it can also be taken as juice. In food, mint can be used not only as a flavoring agent, but also as a spice, as well as with wine and tea.

Mint can be also used as a food additive. Candies containing mint mainly include mint candy, chewing gum, throat lozenges, etc.. Alcohol and beverages using mint products mainly include mint liqueur, mint tea, mint dew, mint refreshing drink and mint honey water with hangover effect, etc.

For the medical usage it mainly has following functions:
