Lion's Mane is the fungus belonging to the family of Pelyporaceae, mainly distributed in broad-leaved forests or coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests in the northern temperate zone. It generally takes 10 to 12 days from the appearance of the buds to the maturity of the fruiting bodies. It is mainly distributed in the forest areas of the Great and Lesser Khingan Mountains in the Northeast China, the Tianshan and the Altai Mountains in the northwest China, the Himalayas in the west and the Hengduan Mountains in the southwest.
