Coix seed is the dried and mature seed kernel of the Coix lacryma-jobi L.var.mayuen (Roman.) Stapf. After the fruit is mature in autumn, the plants are cut, dried in the sun, the fruit is laid, the outer shell and yellow-brown outer skin are removed, the impurities are removed, the seed kernels are collected, and dried in the sun. It is mainly produced in Fujian, Hebei, and Liaoning in China.
