Pinellia tuber is a tuber pinellia ternata of araceae plants which grows wildly in the hillsides, the damp grasses or under the forests beside the streams. It is distributed in most parts of China.
It has antitussive and expectorant effects.
The effect on the circulatory system. It has antiarrhythmic and anticoagulant properties.
Antitumor effect.
In clinical practice, it has been reported that pinellia tuber has a good effect on the treatment of esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, tongue cancer, skin cancer and malignant lymphoma .The polysaccharides extracted from pinellia tuber have a strong activation activity of the reticuloendothelial system, which can enhance the phagocytosis and secretion of the reticuloendothelial system, and inhibit the occurrence and proliferation of tumors.
Anti-early pregnancy effect
