Loofah, a Chinese herb name, which is the vascular bundles of the dry ripe fruit of the towel gourd. In summer and autumn, when the fruit is ripe, its skin turns yellow, and the inside is dry, it is picked, the outer skin and pulp are removed, washed, dried in the sun, and the seeds are removed.
