Chinese date, also called Chinese jujube, is the ripe fruit of the jujube of rhamnaceous , which grows in the mountains, hills or plains under altitude of 1700 meters. It is widely cultivated all over China, and there are many varieties. It is produced in most areas of China, mainly in Xinjiang, Shanxi, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Sichuan, and Guizhou.
Chinese Date has a very high nutritional value. It's a nourishing food.
It can improve the body's immunity and inhibit cancer cells. Through the pharmacological research, it has been found that jujube can promote the production of white blood cells, reduce serum cholesterol, increase serum albumin,and protect the liver. It also contains substances which can inhibit cancer cells, and even can transform the cancer cells into normal cells.
